The History on Wheels hosted its annual Juneteeth celebration at the Joliet Area Historical Museum on Wednesday, June 19, 2024. We used Mama Sarah's Kitchen for catering and the food did not disappoint! Chef Arron Sain has magical hands!! We had fried chicken, fried catfish, baked salmon, collard greens, baked macaroni & cheese and cornbread. For dessert we has cheesecake, pound cake and banana pudding. Everything was so flavorful and delicious. My mouth waters as I think about the food. So many compliments from our guests about how the food was. Truly outstanding!! Thank you Chef Arron for your amazing service and delicious food! We will be having Mama Sarah's again!

Wow. Just WOW. Hands down THE best greens I’ve ever had. Catfish was meaty, flavorful and fried to perfection. Shrimp po boy was heavenly: plump and juicy shrimp, soft bread, incredibly flavorful sauce with fresh lettuce, onions and tomatoes. French fries were hot, crispy and delicious. Can’t wait to try my banana pudding! This place is THE place for soul food. We WILL be back!
